Want to display prices in any currency on your Shopify store? Forexd is an add-on for your Shopify store that enables multi-currency display on any page. Let your users choose a currency, and all prices on your site will be displayed in that currency.
What do I get?
The Forexd download includes:
- The forexd.js file containing the code required to display product prices in different currencies.
- Access to step-by-step instructions for integrating Forexd into your store, as well as support through our Help Desk.
- The Forexd theme - a Shopify theme that demonstrates integration with the various Shopify theme templates such as "index", "collection", "product" and "cart" (you can even use it with Vision to test your code).
Technicalities - how does it work?
- Forexd stores the shoppers preferred currency in a Javascript cookie, then when pages are loaded the converted prices are displayed using the exchange rates provided by Shopify's currency service (updated several times a day) on any element with a class name of "forexd".
- For browsers with Javascript turned off, prices are shown using the shop's default currency.
- Forexd uses jQuery.
Installation of Forexd involves including the provided javascript file, then wrapping all prices on your site with a <span class="forexd"> element.

The fine print
Forexd displays prices in multiple currencies, however please note that Shopify will bill customers in your Shop's currency.
